  • Bart Ketterling, EA

    Owner, Tax Preparer

    Bart Ketterling has been preparing taxes for and conducting tax planning with businesses and families for more than 25 years.  After graduating from Azusa Pacific University, Bart earned his MA in sociology with an emphasis in marriage and family counseling.  Bart is an Enrolled Agent and holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations.  He is an active member of the Channel Island's Society of Enrolled Agents and serves as state director for the California Society of Enrolled Agents.  Bart's passion is working with small businesses to help them grow and succeed.  Bart and his wife, Judy, have lived in Ventura for more than 30 years.  They have three children and four grandkids.  An avid bicyclist and dirt biker, Bart enjoys being out in nature.  He is also very active in his church with volunteering and leadership roles.  Bart's commitment to integrity can be seen through his tireless work ethic and strong family values.

    Ryan Jacobs, EA

    Tax Preparer

    Ryan Jacobs is the newest member of the team and has been in the field of taxation for 7 years. Ryan has a degree in Ecology and Mathematics from Northern Arizona University. After discovering his interest in tax representation and resolution, Ryan studied vigorously and became an Enrolled Agent in 2017. While he enjoys tax preparation, Ryan’s specialty is assisting customers with resolving their tax debt problems and representing them in front of the IRS. When he isn’t face first in the Internal Revenue Manual, Ryan spends his free time rock climbing, hiking and reading.

  • Josh Ketterling, EA

    Tax Preparer

    Josh Ketterling has been in the field of taxation for 7 years. A graduate of Azusa Pacific University with a BS in physics, Josh is an Enrolled Agent and has the FINRA Series 7 securities registration. He performs tax planning and preparation for individuals as well as corporations and has a special interest in researching new credits and creative solutions to get the biggest refunds possible for our clients. In his free time, Josh enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking, and playing the bass for the church band.

    Ana Persky, CRTP

    Bookkeeper & Tax Preparer

    Ana Persky has an extensive background in finance with over 30 years of experience in bookkeeping and auditing services. To better help her bookkeeping clients, Ana ventured in to the field of taxes and has been preparing returns for 2 years now. Her specialties include bookkeeping, auditing, workers comp, payroll, and financial analysis of small businesses to help them improve and grow financially. Ana is very involved with the leadership roles in her church as well as volunteering with Action Community Outreach and Destiny Hub to help families in need and ladies in recovery. She also donates her time to teach classes on budgeting and finances. Along with her husband, Chuck, Ana lives and volunteers in Port Hueneme, CA. Together they have two children and 6 grandchildren. Ana enjoys gardening, bowling, reading, music and dance.

  • Holly Swanson, CRTP

    Tax Preparer

    Holly Swanson started working in the tax office when she was a teenager. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in business administration and is now a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer. In addition to tax preparation, she has taken on marketing for the tax office. Holly and her husband have two house rabbits and enjoy volunteering together at the local animal shelter.

    Shane Werner, EA

    Tax Preparer

    Shane Werner has been a tax preparer with Martin, Ketterling & Associates for 20 years. In addition to tax planning and preparation for individuals, trusts, businesses, and corporations, Shane has a special niche preparing returns for traveling health care professionals. Together with his wife, Liz, he has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. Shane is involved with giving back to war veterans through volunteering and supporting veteran's organizations.

    Dana Potts

    Office Manager

    Dana Potts has been working in the tax office for 15 years. With more than 30 years of administrative experience, she keeps everyone organized and on track. She is head of our client relations team and ensures the office is running smoothly. Dana and her husband, Jeff, have four children and two grandsons. Dana is the choir director at Ventura Missionary Church. She loves to sing together with her family and enjoys reading.

    Lauren Millerberg

    Office Assistant

    Lauren has been a part of our team for two decades, working both at the front desk and behind the scenes. With a BA in Communication and experience in office management, she brings organizational skills and a thoughtful, people-centered approach to her work. Known for her calm, affable presence, Lauren is always ready to assist clients and colleagues. Outside the office, she enjoys singing, writing, and exploring the arts. She loves traveling and learning new languages. Lauren also cherishes time with her husband, puppy, and family, especially by the beach.
